The project was born and grew from the encounter between the creativity of the Artonauti and that of the young people who attend the expressive-artistic workshops of the non-profit organization Fraternità e Amicizia, a long-standing Milanese organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities in their life journeys.
The story proposed in the album “King Solomon’s Ring”, that is, the search for the magic jewel through the four elements (earth, water, air and fire), will be experienced by the people who attend the Cooperative’s Summer Center through play and discovery, in constant contact with the editorial staff.
The Coop kids will be the real Artonauts on a special mission through the four elements. Their guides will be the album and the stickers, through quizzes, riddles, treasure hunts, following the paths indicated in the album itself and on the stickers that will appear, “suggesting” works of art to be visited in real life during the children’s outings (museums, galleries, collections, etc.).

AN INTEGRATED ART PROJECT
Album of artists
to be exhibited and auctioned for the first time at Fondazione Corrente, Via Carlo Porta 5 Milan May 18, 2024
The project is the result of a collaboration between Arthonauts, the first sticker album dedicated to masterpieces of art, and Fraternità e Amicizia, a long-standing Milanese organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities.
Accompanied by the story of the album dedicated to the art of the 4 elements, the people who participate in the artistic-expressive workshops of the cooperative have become true Arthonauts: They took up the challenge of finding King Solomon’s ring through earth, air, water and fire, and embarked on an experiential journey of games, treasure hunts and walks around the city.
Participants in the Brotherhood and Friendship workshops worked directly on the album with educators, art therapists, and art therapists through creative interventions in form, color, and material.
Each album has a life of its own, and the artwork in the album blends with the imagination of the young people of the cooperative to give life to many other stories made up of emotions, thoughts, and unspoken words.
The redesigned albums were then given to professional artists to create a new cover based on the suggestions they received. The following artists participated in the initiative Pietro Canepa, Sara Carusone, Caterina Crepax, Franco Duranti, Laura Fiume, Geremia Renzi, Laetitia Ricci, Lucia Rosano, Antonio Sammartano, Carmen Vetere.
The result was the creation of real artist albums, integrated art albums, in which the expressiveness of the young people was combined with the creativity of the professionals to give life to unique pieces.
The works will be exhibited at the Fondazione Corrente on May 18, 2024, followed by an auction, the proceeds of which will be reinvested in the life projects supported by the cooperative.
It will also be possible to participate in the purchase of the works through an online auction on Ebay starting on May 11th. The synergy between Artonauti and Fraternità e Amicizia has given rise to an innovative project full of strength and beauty, the beauty of art and fragility.

The cultural center has a specialized library and various archival collections, and organizes a rich program of temporary exhibitions and conferences every year.
