We want children to grow up with beauty in their hearts and eyes
That’s why we create educational tools that make art accessible to everyone.

Art and creativity play a key role in childhood development

Many studies show that art contributes to the development of expressive skills, logical, and linguistic reasoning. And this is why leading experts underline the importance of introducing children to artistic works from an early age.

HOW TO EDUCATE CHILDREN ABOUT ART AND BEAUTY ?

Discovery, play and self-constructive learning

Maria Montessori thought that culture was absorbed by the child through individual experiences in an environment full of opportunities for exploration and hands-on activity

Bruno Munari argued that, instead of dwelling on lengthy explanations, it was preferable to involve the child in “action-play,” so as to make him or her participate in learning and avoid being distracted in a passive process of listening.

Loris Malaguzzi, creator of the Reggio Emilia approach, developed the theory that learning is a “self-constructive” process, that is, the result of the free initiative of the children themselves.

Discovery, play and self-constructive learning: these are the principles that inspired Artonauti, the first art sticker collection.

THE KEY IS HAVING FUN!
A social, educational game accessible to everyone

Artonauti is a sticker collection: it’s familiar to people of all ages and allows children to learn about art and history while having fun. It is a social and educational game.

The stickers form frescoes, paintings, and sculptures. Each tile reveals a detail of a work of art.

Children swap stickers and complete the masterpieces; they recognize the artworks and remember the artists through the details they have observed.

Artonauti is also an illustrated adventure: the story of two children and a special dog who travel through time in search of artistic treasures.

The album’s pages are full of fun facts, games, riddles, and curiosities that bring young readers closer to artists and their stories.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
a cultural and innovative project

Artonauti won the fourth edition of Fondazione Cariplo’s Cultural Innovation call for proposals.

Artonauti won the Piccolo Plauto award as a project distinguished by high pedagogical and educational quality -Department of Educational Sciences of the University of Bologna.

Artonauti demonstrates that art is for everyone – even the youngest. With content specifically designed for them, children are capable of falling in love with the great masters of art.
